Easy Ride – Written Monday 8th September 1996 (Aged 21)

Easy Ride

i should not have to think
not when you’re moving on through life
but you come across hazards
and then,
thinking is what you do
but evening time arrives and i am alright
i don’t want to think,
as i move through life
i want to be on a train
somehow getting older in paradise
wherever that may be
i shouldn’t have the hassle
but we do,
i shouldn’t have to fight
but you do,
but then i always want an easy ride
out here in something new
high rise dreams,
touching skies of a greyish blue
people living hight and dry
i should not have to think
all i really want is an easy ride
