You Paint Love

if you paint love
i will paint your nails
if you are from above
i am from what’s failed

if you paint love
i will draw my breath
i could not want you any less
i will hold you to my chest

if you paint love
i will paint your toenails
i don’t come complete,
and all else has already sailed

if you paint love
i will paint the cave
the smooth and the rough
and all that you gave

i will paint love
as you do the same
it’s not contest,
just a beautiful frame
