That’s Not My Version
tell me about relationships
after all,
you demand we have a relationship
that we connect,
you bitch and you cry,
and rally up,
deep inside
you demand we should have a relationship
as two human beings
but tell me how does it work
since my opinion does not count
when everything i say to you
simply evaporates without a trace
how can two people connect
and have whatever…
especially when you insist that i am one way
and there is no other
when you will not listen
have i missed the point,
have i?
am i meant to just accept what you say
and just not question it
i am sorry,
but i was not brought up that way
tell me,
how can i be close to you
when you have no interest in who i am
you asked me to gloss over it and pretend
well, i am sorry
but that’s not my version of close or being friends
