It’s Us – Written Monday 25th June 2001 (Aged 31)

It’s Us

it is insane,
it is delirious
the mountain is hard to comprehend
the practicality is hilarious
but it is us,
it is intense
it is half crazy
and it does not really make any sense
but that is half the fun
it is us,
underneath,
we know exactly how we feel
if we can continue to skip with our dreams
then why look for anything that’s real?
it is us,
we know there are mountains for us to climb
destinations to be found
but i am sure that we will fight all the way
and we know that it’s going to be tough
i know that we’re both crazy
but then, that’s us
