Talking To Shadows

i have really shown those people
and yes,
i have really proved them wrong
but who are these people exactly?
and who was it,
that apparently was putting me down
i think i have been talking to shadows
wagging my finger at ghosts,
i am in a battle,
with my own feelings and thoughts
i know now,
that there is no one there
all along,
i was just insecure and very scared
i have not shown anyone anything,
not a thing…
and no one was ever really scared
just as ll these monsters i was fighting
actually, they were never really there
