Dim And Not So Bright

i have finally stopped arguing with myself
all those years,
of not wanting to be myself
or,
making hard work –
of a life with is bathed in so much life
now that constant argument –
seems dim and not bright
or,
the wrong way to work out what is right
so,
i have finally put it to bed
and i have finally stopped arguing with myself
so many heartfelt words have been said
and the argument i had was constant,
constantly fed
and my disparaging view of myself
was too easily led
