Build Spaceships
People are rarely suited
to any form of power.
Build spaceships,
mighty towers —
never well meant.
Build cars,
trying to buy governments.
The workplace:
not such a safe space,
and not so kind.
The power is poorly used,
and the rest just wait in line —
as if people are lining up
to be abused.
Positional power feels medieval,
like the lord and the farmer.
It’s a weapon,
but you have no suit of armour.
Every sociopath
is such a charmer.
People are rarely suited
to any form of power.
Money is hoarded,
never given away
or even lent.
The mansion is boarded,
and there’s no emotional intelligence.
People are rarely suited
to the power they amass.
Build spaceships —
but don’t fly back.
