I Still Love You
I live with my thoughts,
what happened to me and you?
I can’t say I am blameless,
but somehow,
you stopped speaking to me.
It feels so cruel,
yet, I still love you,
love you like any of my friends.
Last night
you were in a dream,
and even that came to an end.
I message you,
but there is no reply,
and I remember being in bed with you,
when my own door
decided to slide.
Yet, I still love you,
and it feels like trauma,
with a bow of grief.
I see us in pictures,
and something feels incomplete.
What can I do?
I still love you,
and I wish we could just talk,
just talk once more,
but you found some mighty strength,
to push something so heavy
up against our friendship door.
