i felt autumn leaves
fall from the branches
of some of my dreams
i knew then
as i know now
that a new season had started

there is no war on terror
on creed and colour
surely not?
this cannot be our fate
this phoney campaign
this ignorance we must tolerate

arms outstretched
they are open to change
to different views

honesty in society
has been missing for sometime
but you never,
get an explanation
you never see missing posters
at your local police station

governments,
put up billboards
just so i get the message
loud and very big
democracy seems tainted
with elections rigged

on thursday, when the bombs went off
i saw your thick eared racism
i saw the forked tongue of sin
as your ignorance bubbled over

maybe i am tired,
maybe these eyes want to retire
rings like a tree
do surround
do something for me

do not tie me,
to a railway track
do not make me carry expectation
that just breaks my back

i start to fit and shake
pulled from my body
i cannot wake
