i absolutely adore the creative process
i always have,
and it is hard to explain,
like trying to dissect personal rain

Overlay – Written Thursday 26th September 2023 (Aged 48)

felt well today,
coffee,
went down well,
why is waking up so hard?

we cling on,
knowing winter is about to set in
the rainy summer
leaves a desolate memory

is this world,
one of soft paws
or is it one where now,
we devote our time to culture wars

another hero,
discovers,
that they do not wash
wowed by language
but wowed no more

i am not holy,
i am not real,
not in the way that we imagine
but our choices always have a certain feel

do not let the wax –
cascade down
be the person –
with a meaningful frown

my realism,
wears fake mink,
and dances uncontrollably with my imagination
as my dreams attempt to unblock a sink

and acid drops,
refresh my boundless sarcasm
humour is a hole filler,
never a chasm

the white knight,
rides once again
but my past remains a muddle,
