New Adventures With Added Climate
new adventures
they can feel hard to take
the older i get
the more the bread continues to bake
the more,
spontaneity turns up late
the more,
i reduce my plate
new adventures
they require exuberance
the type that i feel i once had
but since those youthful days
the fruit bowl tends to look more sad
happier, yes much happier
but wild eyed leaping
has its part,
but it’s not speaking
new adventures
will they go okay?
will i bound through my future days
because the half century comes knocking
and it rings a particular bell
i try to contact fate
but they say, only time will tell
new adventures
and you know, all that
looking forward
when it feel that life is coming back
