i am getting there
not sure,
where there is…
but i know i am heading towards it

the one,
who made bubbles from troubles
and blew them into the sky

it does not matter which one
only that you care,
and that i am not undone

emotional labour,
has always been my steer
it encapsulates my effort
and raises a weary cheer

i have really shown those people
and yes,
i have really proved them wrong
but who are these people exactly?

they have come for us now
i always knew they would
the bitter older men –
who sup brews in forgettable pubs

with a crooked mitre
and a holy dress,
accepting the salary
as you relaxed,
into learned helplessness

my problem –
has always been –
not speaking up

i find her closeness
but am prone –
to this type of behaviour

what if –
another story is not the height of fashion
what if –
it lacks heart wrenching passion
