You Will Always Run From Greatness
you will always run from greatness
never quite be on time
somehow never quite make it
somehow never quite cross the line
that family you cradle
made you sleep with a knife
and they fed you insecurity by the ladle
you will always run from greatness
a fingertip away
one word short
of the perfect conversation to say
just when you could step up to the mark
you will turn away
and so very fast
you will always run from greatness
of course you are great
and you are wonderful
with something amazing to share
but like others the coat of failure
is cosy, so that is the one you choose to wear
