Every Word – Written January 2008 (Aged 32)

Every Word

i meant every word
but we have tried:
this destination before
it’s familiar waters;
in which our feelings are moored
i meant every word
but we have used these words
we used them to light fires:
and watch as they turned cold
i meant every feeling
every single ream
i just can’t give you answers
or say what they mean
i know it is absurd
i know that I do you no good:
but I meant every word
