Open Doors

i have opened doors
that were previously closed
those doors remain open
for those that know
for those that hold on
whose memory does not go
they can walk right through them
they can stay where they are
that is their choice
i just need to know
if I can still hear their voice
and if nothing happens
then I shall walk away
knowing that I gave it
every single opportunity.
