sometimes people fall in love with you
sometimes you just know
sometimes you do not realise
they find that dependence
where once there might have been despise.
They find a truth
where once they might have found lies.

sometimes people fall in love with you
reclining in the armchair
that they hope will not let them down
tuning into a new station
with a more joyous sound

sometimes you do not feel the same
you try to scan their universe
and soak up their pain.

sometimes people fall in love with you
You worship them
And put yourself on their line
You try to give of yourself
And follow the lights in their mind.
But it is not enough
sometimes the mountain, it cannot be climbed
