Illuminations

you could go out tonight
and paint the town
with your infectious smile
you could look for love
and find the inner child
you could go out tonight
and try to remember
how beautiful you are
you could catch a gig
maybe find a band
one who plays away the night
and sings as if they understand
you could stand out in crowds
as you always seem to do
you could paint a picture
with that smile, well you do
and when I catch your look
i know that they know it is true
you could go out tonight
and show this town
how it can be done so right
put up your own illuminations 
they always shine so bright
