The Final Curtain

nothing is ever certain
except,
that we all face a final curtain
nothing is for sure
except,
there will be no encore
no return to the stage
just a, no more…

nothing is ever certain
except,
that we all come to an end
it may be diluted by faith,
or some belief
but in truth we end up in fire
or six feet beneath

nothing is ever certain
except,
one day we pass on,
here for a moment in the cosmos
then we are gone
nothing is ever certain
except,
that we all face the final curtain
