A Poet’s Inspiration

A Poet’s Inspiration

a poet’s inspiration
a place far away
from the confines of civilisation
a place to which you can escape
the twisted rooms of suburbia
and the wickedest of fate
a place still in this plane
so you can still keep your mind
a place of beauty and starry skies
when you can relax during the day
then in the evening, watching it slowly die
a place next to the hustle and bustle
that is living everyday
but in reality
it could not be further away
a place to be free
acres of flatbed beauty
and a lazy dawn
stretch out with your friends
by fields and fields of corn
this is where your problems end
and as you laze away
relaxation begins
wish life could be this easy all the time
wishing it could last forever
but soon you find yourself back
in claustrophobic suburbia
that is a recipe for a heart attack
missing that place
of wonderful idyllic isolation
a poet’s inspiration
