She Does Not Know…

she does not know
that I am here
thinking about her
tearing out my heart
pulling myself apart

she does not call
to ask how I am

she does not think
that maybe I am upset
that maybe right now
life is difficult for me

she just carries on
with her own life

she does not call
to enquire how I am
or about my feelings for her

she does not understand
no expectations
but just some emotion
would go a long way

but what does it matter
i guess she thinks
i will always be okay
if only she knew the truth
and she saw me today
