i won’t stray
i swim in a poisoned lake
but i get what i can
and take what i take
i am a clever fish

purple sky and rain in my eyes
blink back and keep my pride

i will be right here, by your side

right there with you

and lots more besides
in this fairground life
we can go on many rides
some never make us feel right
till the day we die
but i will never stray as long as you want me
