Those Twenty Something Years

i know,
such a shame
it has gone past
not noting your genius
i know,
you did well at school
got through higher education
satirised the news
you thought
those twenty something years
would consolidate
any previous fear
and genius
would come near
and the world would recognise you
for the genius,
you clearly think you are
ordinary days
never seem to take you far
it is because of ego
which has much less of a heart
