Paradise – Written July 2002 (Aged 27)

another day in paradise
did you know,
the parasol was turning
and the parents –
did not stop the fight
i left the stars
and i clambered out of bed
i found myself at an astral fayre
it is another day in paradise
where individuality is nothing
and to be false is something
because we cannot be everything
another day in paradise
suppressing closely held dreams
because they do not seem right
well untie the horse
and shine a light
