You Built a Castle

You Built a Castle

you built a castle
and you
filled it up with a husband
and children
looking for the release
days when
feeling incomplete
was an interesting street
looking for a moat
make a boat
and,
away you could float
you do not know why,
you feel the way you do
you remember former versions
of you
and they seem foreign
far away,
and a different land
you drink from glasses
but it used to be bottle or can
you built a castle
but the drawbridge can not open
the distance
of something missing
wistful thoughts
of a space that used to be there
you built a castle
but found a lair
