Make Your Bed
i saw you,
ask me to step right in
tempt me,
with escapism and home brewed sin
i saw you,
hand out song sheets
to my forbidden guest
and then i saw you
set out on your personal quest
such diliance
rests upon my shoulders
all my avalanches
have been built with boulders
i saw you,
work those eyes
and parade those doleful looks
as you asked me inside
to author your book
but those days
flew away with the ravens and the rooks
and that drug of choice
has no love like flag
that you can happily hoist
i saw you,
and the things you said
i wonder, when will someone,
finally make your bed
