Not Your Style
goodbyes with tears
not your style
you have steel plated fears
you are armed to the gunnels
you fight like an army
goodbye with sorrow
not your style
you breach the walls of tomorrow
you run across life’s shopping malls
you do keep it all in
and your armies answer to a different call
goodbyes,
with deep and meaningful conversation
as you said, just move on
you sound the claxon on your lighthouse
as an individual song
you make me smile
and when i get past your armies
when i do, i know i will miss you
