Tear and Tantrums

people appear shocked
when you say you are hurt
you accept their pain
their tears and tantrums
their fears
and drama arrangements
but when you are upset
it’s as if you are taking a turn
suddenly you change position
how dare you express your own needs?
reveal your own wounds
show that you too, bleed
that is not in the rules
that is not how it was mapped
it’s as if,
you have turned your back
give and take
has always been, give, give, give
but I when it comes to many people
isn’t that how we live?
