Populist Charlatans
the default setting
is broken
toll roads
no longer accept tokens
the pulpit preacher
has barely spoken
the money promised
has not arrived
the cost of living
now touches the sky
politicians who stand
on point of principle
replaced by populist charlatans
who seem invincible
that is where we all are
it is another civil war
roundheads and cavilers
replaced by, ‘remainers’
and, ‘brexiteers’
