Sense of Independence

i found a sense of independence
whilst out walking
and exploring other peoples lives
i found a comfort
that snuggles up to me, in bed
but it comes from me,
and not by a husky and sledge
the incentive to rush forwards
be bored and just give up the ghost
has bolted from my stable,
even when not able, i hold people close
but there is no need,
to hang onto a handrail,
sooner or later i will hit the nail
but at this moment,
i find a sense of independence
when i am out walking
and talking with other peoples lives
