No Surprise
it is not a surprise
that i still love you
but,
i have to let go,
of notions
about mutual respect
and a love that that flowers
from such a bed,
i have moved to mourning
its unfortunate death
there was a time
when i thought,
it constituted my breath
now i know,
that it has died a death
but… i still love you
despite the cost it comes with
