Same Old Song

you are too dumb to notice
too ignorant to care
you will pretend you have a, ‘syndrome’
that is the tag you will wear
it will explain,
why he left you when you were little
your lack of confidence
and you emotions, so brittle
it will explain
why you use poor language
and repetitive phrases,
such as, ‘same old song’,
it will explain his frustration
and why you did not bond
it will explain the illness
that you slightly changed
no one can deny the reality,
just your interpretation of the name
you will wear a tag,
and expect the world,
to make allowances,
yet for others, you do not do the same
in fact we are all just static pictures
forced into an ill fitting frame
you are too dim to notice
too ignorant to care
