I Want Someone Else to Share This Poem

i could do with –
some good luck
in a female guise
a little nip and tuck
and open my eyes
i want someone else –
to share this poem
to share my map
know where i am going
would be good
to find someone
who understands why –
i wear this coat
get the punchline
without explaining the joke
someone to add an oar –
to my boat
my emotions have seeped –
onto the pavement
what are the rules –
in this engagement
