My Heart Should Be Made of Colourful Plasticine
my heart should be made
of colourful plasticine.
It is not about what you can save
but maybe you could mould my dreams.
my heart should not be in a knot
It is not made of string
but if it was, could you mark the plot
and let the building work begin.
my heart should not be a plaything,
found in a big box of old toys.
maybe you could forget other things,
like all other boys
and then start to unwrap all my dreams
my heart, i guess it should not really matter
but hey, here it is,
colourful upon life’s platter.
I know the dreams we have can be heavy
But I have confidence they are ones you can lift
