People May Not Want to be Played
people,
may not want to be played,
we all dream
of a perfect lay
we all rattle our brains
with too much to say
it is just a charity tin
people,
swimming butterfly stroke in gin.
we all walk on pavements,
hopelessly embracing cracks.
why don’t you be my explorer?
i can take you back.
people,
step into my world
and check out my sky.
then they comment on my decor,
and sometimes I wonder why.
i wear the shoes they buy me,
i walk in the steps they define for me,
i articulate their dreams.
i pretend hopelessly,
that there are no other beings
