Pieces of Broken Sky

i think,
she has fallen in love with me
well, that is okay
i always chase those
that i can never have anyway
we can only talk about it
after all we are all the stars
shining in the night sky
and sometimes we shine for others
no one really knows why
i can feel her in my head
joining together pieces of broken sky
where the sunset turns red
i am losing something
that I never really had
i am making all the wrong jokes
but it beats feeling sad
who knows the paths
that our lives could have taken
perhaps that is why we do the jigsaw
fitting together the pieces
the two pieces of broken sky
