Sensitive Side
it is always deep
I do not have to wear my sensitive side
like a badge for keeps
show it off or take it for a walk
it is there for those who know
and those who want it
I can pretend to be who I like
I will take responsibility for any false ideas
I know it is me putting it across
keeping it hidden away
could suggest I am afraid
I do not think that is true
but then I cannot really say
my sensitive side is always there
I can show you if you like
it is always deep
but somehow near the surface
like patterns in my sleep
that is my sensitive side
