You Never Said Thanks

you never said thanks
when it comes to gratitude
you deployed the tanks
you are a vagrant
in a vacuum of despair
another day, another way
does anyone really care?
people are found,
and disposed of
do you ever look back
and dream of the love
that never arrived
when you said, ‘thanks’
it is a game of seek, it just hides
what is it about life
you just cannot abide
it is no consolation
that life will leave you empty
how many people
have offered you plenty?
you showed no respect
and that is why,
your likability dies a death
