I Miss My Youth
i miss my youth
it was a safe haven, it eased my head
and gave me a roof
i was a child driven insane
by a person in a self destructive situation
and although there was pain
now i have been told it is my imagination
now i must be going insane
tripping out on my memories
when you are down
and living in a damp place
everyone comes out of the woodwork
take a pop, kick you in the face
and that really hurts
i miss my youth
my belief that everything would be okay
i miss those days
something smooth
i miss my youth
so much, so very much
just the naivety
