Is It?

i know we are close
but it seems we are apart
no matter how far
i want to be nearer still
you tell me why
this girl for whom i feel
the who i am close to
the one who i am never close enough
makes me wonder about a feeling
that most of us are scared of
if it involves responsibility
is it love?
this girl who never leaves me mind
and for whom, it is fair to say i am fond of
and so much more
my feelings are the largest room
i have never really opened the door
can’t she see?
can’t she see what it is doing to me
can’t we be
a couple so balanced so perfectly
but it does not matter what i feel for her
i cannot make her feel the same for me
and that is why, nothing special,
will ever be saved
