Psychological Demands

am I in a place
of psychological demands
of,
strange trees
and stranger ties
perhaps,
i need to care
and be good
and be kind to myself
have i
wandered into chaos
and ill gotten vice
have i misread the sign
believing it says, ‘paradise’
am i pushing myself
in a place of strange demons
of,
strange roads
and stranger ties
