Are Any of us Good Enough?

are any of us good enough?
can we ever be all things to all people
when we swim in a sea so rough
fight emotional instability round after round
which feels really tough
is the idea of perfection
just reckless dereliction
do i need to point out the scores?
shall we cross paths
and hope to open these doors?
are any of us good enough?
do we stencil our dreams
and write it down as love
do we pull up a chair when nobody is there
hope the imaginary world
will dance with us and provide care
is all this,
another endless list
that none of us can truly complete?
