it must be me
can’t you see
so strange
who is so unruly
could it be me
bet you it isn’t
just listen
can’t you hear
it must be me
seen in your living room
set me free
so soon
i wait by the road
with a bunch of people
too willing to bitch
i am not trying,
to climb the church steeple
but they are rich
it must be me here
it is not a ride,
that i am trying to hitch
but it is you
i would not mind a lift
