So Close but So Far

sometimes you are everything
sometimes it is hard
it is tough to remember the past
sometimes i only have to think –
and it leaves me on the brink
now it has happened, it has happened
if something is scrap
then there is no going back
things won’t ever be the same again
people walk away
after so much pain
they would like to stay
but they there is nothing to gain
i am walking between paradise and hell
it does not matter i am doing well
but i want to be closer to paradise
i want to do something i enjoy doing
in my life
