The Snow

some people,
settle whilst being unsettled
say, they do know
before they know
but the weather changes quickly
an outside influence can melt you like snow
some people want all the grass
and the fence in-between
not just the cake
but also the cream
some people,
settled as a child
and lose faith as an adult
learn to smile
when they do not smile inside
like snow it soon thaws
the heat of affection and lust
there is no get out clause
as the ring turns to rust
