Authentic

it is hard to define
what being yourself
or true to yourself is
when all close interaction
bring out different bits
and every situation
often requires a different fit
and every journey
requires a different tip
there must be something
in your authenticity
something in the way
you undertake personal business
something in the way
you listen and interact
the way you shoulder others
or when needed, head back
i am sure,
this is me,
enough people dislike me
to reassure me that this is correct
enough people love and care for me
to know i have their respect
