Nuts and Bolts

if i was young once more
i would cure,
my fear of doors

it is something,
i would address
and i was young once more
back to the days
when the personal breeze
was a little too cool

i would cure my fear of walls
looking and climbing over them
if i was young once more,
i would have,
spent more time on my mind
and got down to the nuts and bolts
instead of trying to perform gymnastic feats
with a pound shop vault

if i was young once more
i would have,
manicured my claws
and i would have been,
much less of a bore

i would have danced
holding onto better clouds
not sought permission
when hopeful thoughts are always allowed
if i was young once more
