Toy Box

what did you find out
when you looked in your toy box
was it what you expected?
did rainbows
cascade down the mountains
of grateful hope
did they dance for you
whilst the band played
did big love
find a resounding touch
when you looked in the toy box
when you lifted the lid
and peered inside
were all your thoughts there,
waiting to be found
did half hearted fevers
go to ground
did memories waltz
across the base of your mind
was childhood revealed
but almost blind
what did you find out
when you looked in the toy box?
