in the box of sweets
got my steady feet
a wandering imagination
and a passionate heartbeat

no surprises
in the selection on display
life is a charity shop where the price,
is one you can barely afford to pay
a selection of hand-me-downs
of baggage and past days

no surprises
life in the shop of selection
everything for a pound
even your direction

no surprises
in the dish that is served
at least if you expect the unknown
and the absurd
no surprises
