The Valley

caught a train,
down to the valley
the valley,
of innocence and fallen pain
of brave child warriors
exalted from the family so strange
caught a train,
back to my school
the brickwork was stained
and the memories ruled
left my religion on the pew
i caught the train
and took it me to you
caught a train
down to the seaside
where i found it tough to decide
between hope and self genocide
caught a train,
down to the valley
