Did You Ever Truly Care?

sometimes your memory
comes back to haunt me
it hurts to know,
that you hate me so
but i let this go
to this end,
i had to save myself
and start to mend
your take on me,
had started to offend
my feelings, forced to bend
would not come to and end
but i will always be,
the one you blame
that is your life
and like others, i am the same
you do not give,
what others ask
it can feel very cold
and there is no way to pass
but i still think of you
and how you were never fair
never really willing to share
did you ever truly care?
